Hi, I’m Frank Barnes,
I grew up in Texas but now live in Virginia. In my early years I learned that if I wanted something I would have to work for it. So for me to get a horse that I wanted I had a paper route and worked in a small grocery store, I also sold donuts door-to-door to make enough money for the horse. I was in the Boy Scouts and had to work odd jobs to make money to go to camps and to the Jamboree. That was the start of my entrepreneurial efforts. After college and the Navy I took a different turn and entered the corporate world in the telecommunications industry. In my 33 years there, I ended up in the area of new business development (so I guess the entrepreneurial spirit stayed with me). During this time I and my best friend started a transportation business just so we could get to work for free. As it turned out we became the largest Van Pool provider (for a few years) in northern Virginia. While this was going on I went through a very costly personal situation and lost almost everything, was a few hundred thousand dollars in debt, closed down the Van Pool business at a loss, seemed like I owed money to everyone. Heck, I was clipping coupons like crazy just to buy groceries. So I know what it is like to get to the end of your paycheck and still have a lot of month to go. When the Internet got started I saw that there were numerous web income ideas available and that meant there was an opportunity for me to creating a good web income and this started me on a path of using the Internet for business purposes. My wife and I created a web business that has been quite successful for several years. But even as I was pursuing my Internet business activities I felt there was something I was missing. Enough of this now, I’ll get around to more shortly.
